The 4 Way Rib
This 4 cornered rib is useful in several ways. I find the slight curved side useful inside bowls for lifting and compression. I also place the longer flat side on plates and use the short corner to define the beginning of the rim of the plate, then flip it over while throwing and flatten the rim itself with the 40 degree flat angle.

Lip Service Rib
The perfect rib for finishing lips on plates and platters. 2 notched of slightly different sizes cut at an angle will round the lips of your pots. There is also a sharp 90 degree angle on the corner of one side of the rib for cutting/cleaning galleries on lidded pots. You will find this detail tool invaluable when throwing.
