Minnesota Clay has four great casting slips. Our MC5 is a low fire white casting slip that bisques at Cone 05 and glaze fires at Cone 06. Our New Terra Cotta Casting Slip is a dark red slip that bisques at Cone 05 and glaze fires at Cone 06. Our New Rainy Lake Casting Slip is a gray casting slip that bisques at Cone 05 and has a glaze firing range of Cone 6-9. Our Porcelain Casting Slip is a white casting slip that bisques at Cone 05 and has a glaze firing range of Cone 5-8.
MC5 Casting Slip dry minimum quantity is 1,000 lbs. Dry form requires the addition of Sodium Silicate Syrup and Soda Ash. Terra Cotta, Rainy Lake and Porcelain slip are not offered in dry at this time. Return your 5 gallon pails to us and get $5 back! Each 5 gallon pail is refundable upon return.
